On Friday, Fine Line Features will release writer/director Gus Van Sant's Elephant in limited theaters in New York and Los Angeles, before expanding the film into more cities on November 7. Winner of the Palme d'Or and Best Director prizes at the 2003 Cannes Film Festival, the drama takes us inside an American high school on what appears to be an ordinary day. Except that it's not.
